ADEX BEIJING 2017
This year will see the third Asian Dive Expo (ADEX) show in Beijing, and we have grown tremendously over the past few years. In 2017, we will be running the diving show in conjunction with Beijing Ocean week, supported by 中国太平洋学会 (The Pacific Society of China). ADEX Beijing 2017 will be held in a new venue: the Chaoyang Museum of Urban Planning, running from August 31 to September 3.
There will be many new features this year. We will be introducing Voice of the Ocean, China (formerly known as the China Underwater Photo Competition) into the line up, where photographers will have a chance to compete in six categories, such as underwater photography and videography, as well as art and fashion.
Another new component that will be introduced at ADEX Beijing is the Ocean360 Award. Awards in five different categories will recognise individuals who have made a difference to the ocean. The event will also host the ADEX Ocean17 Festival, where we will bring you the best speakers in the fields of art, photography, film, music and science.
ADEX Beijing is organised in partnership with Shengteng (Beijing) Science and Technology Trade Co. Ltd., and Underwater360. It is supported and endorsed by中国太平洋学会 (The Pacific Society of China).
Boasting a history of 21 years, ADEX has been, and is still, the biggest and longest-running dive expo in Asia. It is one of the industry’s “must-attend” events. From across the globe, it brings together distinguished VIPs and speakers, business owners, dive operators, enthusiasts, marine conservationists, and everybody with a passion for the underwater world. The event is endorsed by major organisations in the industry, such as DEMA (USA) and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
Successfully organised by Underwater360 (UW360) for seven years, ADEX continues to attract strong crowds of trade exhibitors and industry icons, drawing enthusiasts who want to meet and mingle with the professionals, and learn about the latest gear, the best dive trips, and the work of the industry’s most creative people. ADEX 2016 attracted a total of 57,793 visitors over its three days.
ADEX CHINA 2016
With the success of the Singapore event, ADEX expanded to China in 2014 and in 2016, ADEX China was successfully co-organised by Underwater360 and Beijing BeiAo Convention & Exhibition Co., Ltd. Taking place over three days from September 2 to 4, 2016, the dive expo consisted of programmes related to recreational diving, freediving, tekdiving, underwater photography and marine conservation efforts, including presentations by world-renowned photographers focusing on their passions and their work.
Together with dive gear, underwater photo and video equipment, and diving trips on offer all under one roof, the event attracted both diving enthusiasts and organisations that have businesses in the diving industry from all around the region, with a total of 15,783 visitors over the three days.
